Memcook is a recipe book that works entirely on your device. This policy explains what data the app handles and what leaves your device.
Your recipes, photos, categories and cooking sessions are stored locally in the app (on the web, in your browser). Memcook has no account and no backend server. We cannot access, read or recover your recipes. Deleting the app (or clearing your browser data) deletes them permanently.
Memcook collects only the following, to keep the app stable and understand which features are used:
We never collect recipe titles, ingredients, steps, categories or photos. We do not collect your name, email address or contacts, and we do not use advertising or tracking across other apps and websites.
When you share a recipe, its content is encoded inside the fragment of a link (the part after the #) and shown as a QR code. A fragment is never sent to a server. The photo is never included. If you send the link through a messaging app, that app's own privacy policy applies to the message.
The web app at memcook.com is served by a hosting provider that may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and operation.
Memcook is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.
